Lee County Sheriff Candidate, Tim Fisher, qualifies by petition to be placed on the 2012 ballot

Tim Fisher is proud to announce he was recently endorsed by the local Postal Union for the next Sheriff of Lee County. This is a shift from their endorsement of Mike Scott during the last two elections and Tim is honored to be recognized as their choice.

Tim is a professional law enforcement officer, who has devoted his life to serving and protecting the people of Lee County. Tim protects our children as a supervisor in the School Resource Division, he worked to protect the integrity of our Sheriff’s Office in the Internal Affairs Division, he was a Detective protecting our community’s women and children in the Special Victim’s Unit and takes on the most dangerous of criminals with the SWAT Team – this is far more law enforcement experience than our current Sheriff had when he took office by any measure.

As your next Sheriff, Tim will address work inequities which will return us to our days of hope and promise of a better agency by restoring fairness to the agency. However, this election is about more than eliminating the intimidating working conditions which brought about not one but two unions under the current Sheriff for the first time in the 124 year history of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. This is about bringing the basics of law enforcement back to the Sheriff’s Office – a law enforcement agency – not using the Sheriff’s Office as a springboard for other political aspirations. Tim will fight to make our streets safer from our growing gang problem and overall countywide rise in violent crime through a return to the basics of law enforcement not political grandstanding and manipulation of the political process.
